It only takes fabric and some imagination to give a cabinet a new look without the hassles of paint or polish. An upholstered cabinet can give your home décor an instant facelift.
Dismantle the door from the cabinet and remove latches and bolts, measure and cut batting to fit the outside of the door. Similarly cut the lining to fit the inside of the door and the main fabric to fit above the padding with enough to go over the edges.
Mark the exact location of handles on both the padding and the main fabric when they are attached to the door-front. Turn it over pull and staple the main fabric over the edges onto the door-inside. Trim excess, cover with the lining and fasten covering any exposed edges with sufficient adhesive or staples.
Finally, reattach all the handles and bolts with longer screws on provided markings and fasten tightly.
